وتبع الملا عليُّ القاري النوويَّ، فقال في المرقاة (١/٣٩٦): وقص الأظفار: أي تقليمها وتحصل سنيتها بأي كيفية كانت، وأولاها أن يبدأ في اليدين بمسبحة اليمنى ثم الوسطى ثم البنصر ثم الخنصر ثم الإبهام، ثم خنصر اليد اليسرى ثم بنصرها ثم وسطاها ثم مسبحتها ثم إبهامها، وفي الرجلين بخنصر اليمنى ويختم بخنصر اليسرى، انتهى.
